National Walk for Hope Ambassador

Georgia Love

We’re thrilled to have our National Ambassador, Georgia Love, throw her support behind the Pancare Walk for Hope.

After losing her mum to pancreatic cancer in 2016, Georgia is determined to put the disease into the spotlight to demand better for patients and research into early detection and new treatments to improve the survival rate.

“The survival rate for pancreatic cancer hasn’t changed significantly in the past forty years. I believe it’s vital to create awareness about this brutal disease and drive change so other families don’t have to go through the heartache I’ve gone through. I encourage you to support Pancare’s Walk for Hope and take up the challenge to raise vital funds for Pancare’s patient support services and research.”

“Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest opponents you can face – with a five-year survival rate of just 8.7%. That’s why it’s critical that more money is invested into research for early detection and new treatments to help improve the outcomes for patients and their families. I’m thrilled to be joining Pancare Foundation as the Melbourne Walk for Hope Ambassador to help spread awareness on the disease and services available to support people affected by pancreatic cancer.”
